My Matt

Where did you meet?
On October 16, 2007, My friends and I went out to eat at Carrabbas where Matt worked. He was our server and was totally cute and funny. So I left him my number on the back of my receipt with a thank you. Matt called the next day but I was leaving to go out of town for market and saved his cute message and forgot about it. Later that week I heard the message and called him back, he was all "What kind of girl leaves her number for someone and then does not call them back?" Well we hung out the night I got back in town. (Oct. 25) He was over till 4 in the morning, There was no going back from there, I was totally hooked!

How long did you date before you were married?
We saw each other every single day after we first hung out. After a long Christmas apart thats when we decided we never wanted to be apart again. ( I actually called it to my mom at Thanksgiving that Matt would be the man I marry) We dated for 3 months and were engaged for 3 months. Dont worry we have known each other for one year and have been married for half of it.

How long have you been married?
6 months. It has been amazing.

What does he do that surprised you?
I know that we did not date for very long but there have not been very many surprises. Matt is just as wonderful now as he was when we were dating. He always opens the door for me, he is thoughtful, patient, caring, and is always helpful. We are a very spontaneous couple so it is hard to surprise either of us. There are 2 small surprises: For one, he is so clean. I love living with him. He always is picking up after himself, helping with the laundry and loading/ unloading the dishwasher. But he doesnt like making the bed. The second, he has this pillow that he sleeps with, that goes between his knees. I call it his crotch pillow and I am not a fan of it because some how in the night, it ends up on my side of the bed :)

What is your favorite feature about him?
That is a hard question. He is amazingly perfect to me. I love everything about him. He has the sexiest eyes, cutest smile, softest hair, and is the perfect hight.

What is your favorite quality about him?
Everything. He is the most selfless person I know. Matt is always putting me first. He has such a desire to serve. He is so funny and easy going. Matt is hard working, passionate, thoughtful, outgoing, spiritual, and the list goes on and on.

Does he have a nickname for you?
He calls me babe a lot but thats about it. When he want to embarrass me in public he comes up with some pretty creative ones.

What is his favorite color?
Red. When ever we are playing a game that has a red player choice, that will be Matt.

What is his favorite food?
Most anything. Because I am such a horrible cook, he wont let that secret out, I dont think he wants me to attempt it.

What is his favorite sport?
All of them. Matt is very athletic, he played a lot of tennis and golf out here.

Who said "I love you" first?
That would be me. We had just spent our first time apart from each other the Christmas after we met. It was the longest 2 weeks of my life. And the night he got back and I saw him, I was dying to say it but was scared and I wanted to wait for him. Well I could not help it and the next night we were making out ( catching up on lost time from the previous 2 weeks :) and I just said it. He was so sweet when he said it back. But Matt did let it slip once before that, we were out to dinner and laughing and he goes "I freaking love you" I knew he was just talking so I acted like I didnt hear him.

When and Where was your first kiss?
So after the first week we hung out, he walked me to car in the freezing cold and kissed me. (please, we would have kissed before that but I had a fever blister) It was very much anticipated and perfect.

What is your favorite thing to do as a couple?
Anything and everything where we can be together. We get so busy with school and work that we decided that Saturdays are our days to be together, all day. That is the highlight of our week.

Do you have any kids?
No, we have a cat and it will stay that way for a very long time.

What is a hidden talent that he has?
:) Dancing.

How old is he?
26 years old.

What is his favorite type of music?
Matt is very well versed in this area. He really like everything but country (sad) and really like musicals.

What do you admire most about him?
Matt is amazing. He is the most laid back person I know. He never gets worked up with out cause and he can handle any situation. Plus Matt is a forever optimist.

What is his favorite past time?
He is basically down for anything. He just loves to do anything not school or work related.

Do you think he will read this?
Yes.

Still in Dallas

I am so sick of traveling! i have been in texas for a week and fly back today. i am so excited! i feel like i just got back from Chicago when i needed to leave for dallas. i am so grateful for the opportunity to travel with Terani but i can not wait to see Matt tonight!! I have a nice break of markets over the holidays, then start up again in January for Dallas, then Vegas, then Atlanta...

So i have been doing these markets for 7 years now which after the first day of market, i swear that i will never do it again. so i suffer through the following 3 days and usually when i leave the forth day i think to myself, "never doing that again,"  Then i get a pay check and the process starts all over for the next market. 

This market, i went to a showroom that i had worked in about 7 years ago at one of my second or third markets ever. well i really really don't like this particular showroom, but this is where Terani is located so i was stuck in the showroom i hate. So after the first hour i was thinking to myself "Never doing this again" But i really did mean it. Then i heard someone yell my name from behind me and jump on me. It turn out that one of my best friends Annette was modeling for the showroom as well. Just a little bit about Annette, we have been good friends since we were 14 years old and have way way way to many stories and embarrassing facts about each other.  

So it turns out that this was an awesome market because i had someone i knew there with me to goof off with. We have only modeled together in the same showroom once when we were 17 and had a blast. So when i was changing into my first dress, annette looked at me in front of everyone and said, "wow sher, i have not seen you naked in a long time." oh to have that 17 year old body again. it was pretty funny though.

The key to market: take someone you love with you. thats why this time was fun and chicago was awesome too. think matt want to play dress up for 4 days straight? 

Well i am not spell or grammar checking this because my mom and i are off to buy samples! hopefully i can find something cool for matt!

Impulsive Much...

Ok so last Sunday Matt and I were sitting on the couch watching tv, bored, when we decided to look on KSL for kittens just for fun... so now we have one. Impulsive much? I know. But she is the most adorable thing ever. Matt even loves her! She gets so cuddly and cute and then when she plays she is a crazy cat! it is so much fun!

We are not supposed to have pets... so it is a big secret!

Chicago!

Chicago is amazing! At the beginning of this month I went to Chicago with Terani Couture, it was so much fun! The best part is that my sister Kim came with. Its to bad that by the end of the of the day we were so tired from being in heals and on our feet all day, that we really did not want to do much at night. This company is great to work for they take care of everything and take us out to nice dinners! Matt was so jealous. He really wanted to come. but he decided he would rather come when we go to Vegas. I missed him alot but had lots of fun with the girls.Kim looked so hot in this dress and this is the dress I had to put on about 100 times.

KIM~~ I had so much fun with you! It has been a while since we have been around each other without husbands or kids. It was so much fun laughing, goof off and working together. At least I will know where to look next time you loose a nipple sticky. :) I love you so much and am so glad we are sisters! You are the strongest and most compassionate person I know. And man, what a hot bod for a mother of two! I love you.

Our Place!

Ok so this is the only picture of our place that we have so far. They are coming though soon! we are trying to get things kind of put together first. We were in the middle of moving and had no cups so we needed to improvise.  

Fair Fun!

So we went to the Utah State Fair! We had a wonderful time! We went with some of our friends Liz, Kent, Makell and Jed. We love them! Talk about junk food, corn dogs and funnel cakes, Yum! Tons of rides. By the third one I was so sick!

This ride was awesome! We fell straight down like 4 or 5 stories.

Ok so this is the ride that did me in! The Zipper, the bane of my existence! So the whole ride turns in a circle while it flips you around. I should not have gotten on this ride! Matt was laughing so hard! By the time that it was over, I was so sick and bolted off the ride. At least I made it to the bathroom before I started barfing!

So I didn't even make it off this ride before I started barfing again. Oh yes, right over the side! Poor Matt had to sit by me, and Liz was behind me saying, "You are not throwing up. You are not throwing up!" And I was, sick! Then we got off the ride and I continued to puke, right in front of everyone, in the grass. Cool. Matt is such a good husband and stayed right by me. He even held my hair back. Needless to say, I sat the rest of the rides out.
