Blame

Ok so I am blaming my lack of blog posts on the fact that I can not find my computer. It is totally missing! I have no idea where it has gone but I have turned the house upside down and still no computer... So a quick update from my phone.

Baby number 3 is coming. We are so excited! I am 20 weeks along and let me tell you it has been a doozy of 20 weeks! Really the first 18 were pretty crazy and the last 2 weeks I have finally started to feel like I am not dizzy and going to puke all the time. Thank goodness!

We had our 20 week ultra sound on Friday and were so excited to see a healthy baby! I have been so paranoid lately. I guess that is just he mother in me. I keep thinking "Well we have 2 healthy kids, what are the chances we will have another." So we are feeling very blessed. And of course I am still paranoid but I know whatever is meant to be will be :) We brought the boys and Grandma Vandiver to the ultra sound. It was only a party for the first few min. Then Grandma took the boys to run the halls while we went through all the anatomy. It was fun for my mom to be there but even more exciting to see the boys reaction! The lady doing the ultra sound kept asking the boys if they thought it was a boy or a girl and Quade kept insisting that is was a baby. Thank goodness :) When the baby came up on the screen Dex goes "I love it already." I about died. I love those boys.

We decided a while ago that we were not going to find out the gender. But we actually follow through with it! We were just so excited to see the little babe wiggle around that it was actually really easy to not even worry about it. We are just excited for a new addition to the family and the surprise it going to be awesome! It is crazy, I don't feel as far along bc we do t know the gender but we are half way done!

The boys started school on Thursday. Dex's is awesome and I know he is going to have an awesome year! They do all kinds of fun curriculum and they have a little farm. He could not be more excited!! I love that he loves school and learning!

Quade is doing a co op with 3 other kids in our stake. Oh man, he could not be more excited to go to pre school like Dexie. He had so much fun his first day. It  will take a little getting used to for him, the whole listening to a teacher thing, but he is stoked. I am a little nervous for when it is my week. Not sure if a co op is really my thing but I think it will be really fun! We will see.

So that means I have 2 hours all to myself! I don't even know what to do!!! It is so weird to think about what I want to need to do! It will be great for the next 4 months...

Matt is really loving his job! I am so glad it is something that he enjoys and is good at. He is so amazing! I can't believe how awesome he is! Matt has been like wonder dad these days, he basically rocks! What would I do without him?!

Where the heck is my computer?

Little did you know...

So it has been kind of a crazy day today... Dexter had literally talked my eat off all day. Mom where did you get that? Target? Where in target? The toy section. What isle did you get that mom? And as cute as it is, he was asking me question like that all day. And quade has been a little needy today so he has been none me all day, in my lap, in my arms, attached to my leg and if I ever leave his sign. Momma? Where momma go?

I feel like the word mom or some variation of it, had been used like a million times today. I actually love how much dex talks and love that quade is such a mamma's boy but today I was a little excited for Matt to come home and share the energy!

In protest of our crazy day, I decided that there was no way that I was cooking dinner! So we went to Torchys. So yummy. We decided to sit outside bc it was so nice out.The boys were going a little nuts and were walking all around and jumping off this little 3ft wall. Matt and i were taking turns running after them. Quade had spilled his drink twice before the food even got there. As crazy as it sounds it was pretty chill.

We got our food and we were all eating, the boys had to take one bite in between each jump (parent fail but they were eating)  And all the sudden this older guy came and sat at our table... Matt was up chasing the boys, so it was just me and he goes, "I just wanted to tell you how amazing your family is. Your husband is so loving and engaged with your kids and you guys seem to be so loving with each other. I love how you are so loving to your children. You just have the sweetest family. And even when your son spilled his drink twice, you just laughed. You guys are doing great." I blushed and said thank you and he walked away.

All I could think about was: yep, I love Matt and he is an amazing dad! And this looks amazing? These boys are all over the place... And I wish I was laughing when quade spilled his drink bc I was thinking sweet things about our free spirited child but I was really laughing because it had been such a crazy day and of course he spilled his drink... Again.

Then I thought, wow that was really nice. I should give more compliments to people. Heck I should learn how to take a compliment. And maybe at the end of this CRAZY day, our little family did something right. It is most definitely a group effort!

But really this family and ALL it's crazy is pretty awesome!

These boys...

Oh man is this update way over due... Story of my life... But here we go!

Dexie... That is what he is called for the most part... Even by his class mates and teachers at school. He loves it. We love it. Sadly I know he will not want to be called this forever and I love that everyone calls him that.

Dexter is such a stud and so so smart. It is amazing to see his little mind work and out things together! I love it.

We have been working a lot on his speech lately. His vocabulary is awesome but is enunciation needed work. We thought about getting his speech evaluated, and we still might... But he has improved so much since we started working on things. The Pediatrition has assured us lots of times that he is not behind in any way... So we are proud of his progress.

The last few days dex has totally cracked me up. He has figured out the word "probably" and everything is, probably.
"Dex, you need to go potty b4 we leave?" "Probably I do mom"
"Dex you ok back there?" "Probably sure mom"
"Dex you want a snack?" "Probably no."
"Hey dex can you help me clean up?" "Probably"
It's so dang cute, I can't bring myself to correct him. He does use is correctly a lot and it is so funny to see him think about something and respond with, probably.

I love that when he get tired or sleepy at all he looks at me and says "Mom, I love you so much" oh melt my heart. I get it at least once a day, out of the blue, in the car or while we are playing. He lets out a long sigh and rubs his eyes.... I love you so much.

Whenever he has idea, he blurts it out and says "that's a good idea mom." Sometimes a statement and sometimes a question.

He is such a good listener and he is great at following instructions... (For the most part) And he always asks for permission to do things. He is the best.

Quade is getting huge! He and Dex are basically the same size. I can't believe it!

He is the sweetest child and I can not believe how much be picks up! He watches everything and is so smart.

Quade has always beer such a mammas boy. I am his and he is mine! He has always called me mamma and recently he is calling me mom. It breaks my heart just a little but bc that just means he is growing up. He still calls me mamma and mommy but the mom kills me.

He says oh-tay and we can't bring ourselves to correct it. Quade got it from Dex, and they are just so cute when they say it. Quade uses it is lots of diff ways...
"Mommy I got out side, oh-tay" but he isn't asking, he is declaring. This is the way he uses it the most declairing, pr trying to get you to agree and it is so funny. He says it like this when he is doing something he is not supposed to and when he says it he enunciates the second syllable depending on how passionate he feels about the subject. And he says it so loudly!  So funny.

He talks ALL the time. The other day I was asking him is he was ready for nap time and he goes "nap time, no not again" ha ha I was laughing so hard.

He is a lot more aggressive w words then his brother. We get: give me that back: no, not share and: do it myself, from this little passionate boy. Actually I get, do it myself, all day every day.

He is dying to be potty trained. I am so not ready yet. It's so much work! Vegas Thomas undies just waiting in his drawer, for me to get the nerve.

He generally runs on a diff level then most kids... He is up, down, all around, and jumping off the side of the couch in a matter of 5 second. He def keeps us busy.

My heart stopped.

Ok so last week we all headed to Buy Buy Baby to check out a new car seat for Quade. We were all checking out the new Britax and I turned around and quade was gone! Those of you who know him, know this happens sometimes but I say his name and he says "right here" he usually just wonders around the corner... Well he wasn't there and wasn't responding, so of course my heart stops. I mean he had been missing for .2 seconds and I totally got spooked bc he is usually, right there. Matt and I did a quick scan, nothing. I knew he was there but I feel like its the mom in me that goes "but what if he is not" I think I have watched way to many law and order svus or something. So Matt kept looking and I ran to the front to tell someone.

They totally had a protocol: got on the speaker announced a code, blocked the entrances and exits (extra freak is out), announced a description, and then made me stand there at the front while all the staff looked. Ok so now I was freaking out a little more bc then my mind went to every tv show where someone was kidnapped. And it had maybe been 3 min since he was gone. So after like 30 seconds, and everyone in the stores attention, they announced that they had found him. Quade came walking out, smiling and pushing a cart of baby dolls. Oh my gosh!everyone just laughed and went back to their business. I knew he was there, he just has never been out of my sight for that long in public. A couple moms came up to me and were all "don't worry I loose mine all the time"

Longest 5 min of my life. And then I thought of all the times I let them out of my sight for like 5 seconds. Doesn't seem like very long, but it is long enough...

Oh man these boys keep us on our toes, especially our little quade! (Who isn't so little anymore!)

September and October In Pictures.

Ok so another bounce back. We had so much fun this fall! This is September and October in pictures.

the boys waiting for dad to come inside from work. They tell me everyday how much they miss daddy while he is at work. What does that tell me :)

A professional school goer. Dex still asks if Quade can come with him to pre school.

Clearly the best place to take a poop.

We love going to open gym. I am dying to get them in gymnastics! Maybe that will be a good summer activity...

What does it say about TX that we are still in the water in Sept? love this little butt crack.

Date night.

The Foust's had this little guy for a few months and the boys and the bunny were fast friends.

Post swim tired boys.

This is what happens when we let Aunt Kim babysit. Quade loved every minute of it!

Science museum. They loved it! we could have spent forever there!

Early morning trip to the park! The only way to go when it is still hot!

Lunch date with friends,

Sacrament meeting entertainment!
Oh ya know riding the ducks.

Cutest boys around.

Just being silly while we wait for Dexter to wake up. look at that face.

Snow white came to visit on her way to a party.

And more open gym fun!

Open gym slide. Quade has a love hate relationship with blow up activities which usually means that I have to go too.

Brotherly love at its finest

I love this picture, my heart melts every time! Look how bad Quade was teething, so much drool!

Unexpected trip to the fountains, with no suits, that wont stop us.

We love pumpkin patches and spent most of our time at a pumpkin patch of some kind...

We got passes to the arboretum and it is so awesome! Plus there pumpkin patch is the best around.  They had pumpkin houses, and everything.

Aunt Chris and Baby Zoey joined us too.
Just a little bed head.

We like to swing!

Church goers

I love this kids "cheese" face!

Two at a time and I wouldnt have it any other way.

Whole foods has the best carts!

Silly faces with the Quadester

This is what happens when you walk with a fork and fall. Oooch.
Sometimes he wakes up before Dex and i try to get him to lay with me... it only lasts for a few min.
Side walk paint. Major hit!

Cool rides

They got to pic their own pumpkins.

Sometimes he refuses to get out of the tub...

Snacks for us and the ducks.

We stumbled acoss this random pumpkin patch and had so much fun there. Hay makes me itch!

I cant remember why this even happened. All the sudden I turn around and this is what I saw. Yikes

Another pumpkin patch and this one had a pony ride. Of course Dex was stoked and Quade would not even get close!

These jammies glow in the dark and were a major hit.

Who ate blue chalk?

Skeletons and the Book of Mormon. So cute.

First time the Boys had Maggianos. They loved it!

Family trip to the Arboretum. So fun.

The Arboritum had face painting and Kindermusic come. It was so much fun. Dex got a pumpkin painted on his face and Quade was not into it, but they both loved the music!

Face painted friends.

While we were there we found this fuzzy caterpillar. The find of the century. good thing this one didnt sting cause it took the boys like .5 seconds to pick it up!

Oh ya know just our view on our way home from target. Why wouldnt we see a whole heard of long horns on our way home? we do live in Texas.

Oh man Halloween was so much fun! We went to two different Trunk or Treats with friends, hit up the outlets and did a little more on Halloween night. Our little Buzz and Woody had sooo much fun! They were the cutest! how could we not dress up as much as possible?!

I love how Quade holds bags. Sooo funny now all he needs is some heels and he is all set :)

Play group candy hunt.

Hand pile at in and out!

Kim and I were booked to go to a preschool for Halloween, it was so fun to dress up with all the kids!

Trick or Treating is the best.

We had a great fall and so much fun. These boys are getting so big and keep us in our toes every second!
